The Markay Theatre

Many of us spent our Saturday night dates, going to the movies, at the Markay Theater. Today it is owned by the Southern Ohio Arts Council. They are in the process of converting the space into a cultural center for the community. The lobby is a nice place for a small party or reception. We recently did a Fiftieth Anniversary party there and was amazed to discover that the couple actually became engaged just outside, before coming into the movie. The space houses art exhibits which add to the character of the space and the event.
